This is an update on the Farmory, a community based urban farm in Green Bay, WI., and the obstacles they overcame to become a commercial yellow perch fish hatchery.
It’s a story for anyone interested in the adventure behind hatching yellow perch eggs, getting the larvae fish to eat and fill their swim bladder with a gulp of air, and to raise yellow perch fingerlings in a bio-secure system.
The Farmory is a community base urban farm for training and educating the community on self-sufficiency, growing healthy food, and developing skills for employment.
