Madison Craft Beer Week 2014 is May 2nd through May 11th this year. Locations around the city will be serving a Boian Pilsner (Common Thread Craft Beer Collaboration) beer this year. A couple locations will be showing “Behind the Brew” – Drackenbergs on May 4th and The Seth on May 5th) so check it all out.
I tasted the Boian Pilsner last night and for a person that likes overly hopped beers and barrel aged stouts-n-sours I really enjoyed it. The videos in the playlist above highlight the brewing and what Common Thread is all about.
Incidental with MadCraftBeer Week this year the hops in Wisconsin get historical perspective from the Wisconsin Historical Museum‘s water color’s by Paul Seifert and the supporting interactive video kiosk. Wisconsin hops growers and brewers using local are highlighted in the video. The kick off to this exhibit is May 2, 2014 – the same as kickoff to Craft Beer Week.
